Earnote (getearnote.com) offers audio summaries of books and podcasts. This page explains what we store when you create an account, and nothing more is collected than what is listed here.
What we store
- Email and password: your email address, your name if you give one, and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Sign in with Google: your email address, name and profile picture link, plus Google's account id so we recognise you next time. We never see your Google password and ask for no other access to your Google account.
- Log in with Telegram: your Telegram user id, username, name and profile picture link.
- Your listening access: which premium summary you unlocked each day and your subscription status, so the free daily listen and subscriptions work.
- Security records: failed log-in attempts per email for 15 minutes, to slow down password guessing.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; we store only a hash of it. Telegram login uses a short-lived cookie while you sign in. Google's sign-in button is loaded from Google and follows Google's privacy policy. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
Only to sign you in and give you access to the summaries you are entitled to. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Account data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon; the site runs on Vercel. Both process it only to run Earnote.
Deleting your data
Email pishingoto@gmail.com from the address on your account (or tell us your Telegram username) and we will delete your account and everything above.
